On July 3, Vice President Chen Ge met with Elizabeth Watkins, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of the University of California (UC), Riverside, and her delegation at the Songjiang Campus. Relevant persons in charge of the Academic Affairs Office, International Cooperation Office, and College of Environmental Science and Engineering of Donghua University were also present.
Chen Ge welcomed the delegation from the UC, Riverside. He said that the two universities have a strong foundation in academic exchanges and cooperation. He hoped to further enhance bilateral interaction, where DHU students are encouraged to study at UC, Riverside and students from UC, Riverside to take English-taught programs in DHU and the two schools to collaborate on offering summer courses.
Elizabeth Watkins said that UC, Riverside is very much looking forward to deepening cooperation with DHU, and hoped that the two sides will build on the existing partnership to further promote and expand exchanges and cooperation between students in various professional fields. At the meeting, the two sides reached an agreement on continuously deepening research collaboration and expanding student exchanges in professional fields.
Before the meeting, Elizabeth Watkins and her delegation visited the exhibition hall of the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials (SKLFPM).
