For a long time, the new international students at Donghua University, Songjiang campus have always been welcomed at once from Yanan campus, but this time with the full support of Wu laoshi on behalf of ICES, the SCISA committee decided to welcome their own students in a new style. This was done during the celebrations of the Mid-Autumn Festivals in China, where it was not just about the moon cakes only but also a lot of performances, winning of gifts, fun, eating and drinking. Remembering the teachers’ day was also included in the same event. The beautifully decorated Activity center was made to feel like a home away from home.
Such an event was organized to enhance a sense of belonging to our new dear sisters and brothers into the Songjiang family which is all about love. In addition, it was organized to appreciate the SCISA committee members, show gratitude for the kind support and care shown to the international students from Wu laoshi, Yan laoshi and Wang Ayi (Wang mama).
Our beloved teachers were appreciated by a bouquet of flowers which were bought by the senior students, the SCISA committee members were appreciated by each receiving a gift from Wu laoshi and Wang Ayi was appreciated by the whole family.

The Chinese team called Sheshan literature and art team who presented seven different performances (Dance “a good start”, Music poetry recitation “I am proud, I am Chinese”, dance “sing the Liuyang river again”, “female solo”, Tibet dance; “auspicious”, Shanghai Opera perform; “canary” and Dance “Chinese beauty”.
The international students also demonstrated their talent by singing in diversified languages including Chinese.
The event was made more glorious by cutting of the beautifully decorated cakes (with a writing “Welcome to the Songjiang family, 2016”).
The eats and drinks were availed in plenty accompanied by the very delicious moon cakes which concluded the celebration with an amazing feeling.
All we say is a big thank you to ICES, Wang Ayi, the dedicated SCISA committee members, 2016 and extended gratitude to everyone for making this day a big success with more love and togetherness.
