Director Zhu Shaozhong extended a warm welcome to the Feng Chia University Delegation and expressed satisfaction at the cooperation and exchange between two universities in such fields as talent training and scientific research. He introduced Donghua University’s discipline superiority and international strategies with a focus on the breakthroughs and progresses that Donghua has made in fashion creation field in recent years. To implement the development plan of transforming Shanghai into the sixth fashion city in the world, Donghua University, Shanghai Municipal Government and Changning District Government started to construct jointly the “Fashion Creation Industry Agglomeration Zone Circling Donghua” two years ago. They will work together to push forward the development of Shanghai as a fashion city and the creation industry. In terms of training design talents, Donghua University has established a close and good cooperative relation with famous fashion or art design colleges from the top five fashion cities. In the meantime, Donghua University, with the purpose of better training design talents with international vision, will introduce high-quality overseas educational resources and set up a Sino-foreign cooperative international fashion creation college.
