Chen Nanliang, male, Han nationality, born in 1962, is a professor, doctoral tutor, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Donghua University.
In July 1984, he graduated from the major of Knitting Engineering in the East-China Textile Institute of Science and Technology (namely today’s Donghua University) and remains working in Donghua University to present. In January 1989, he obtained the master’s degree in Textile Materials from China Textile University. In April 2001, he received a Ph.D. in Textile Engineering from Donghua University. He once worked as a senior visiting scholar in the Czech Republic and Germany for industrial textile research.
Work experience: Since 2001, he has been a professor and doctoral tutor at the College of Textile, Donghua University. He used to be the head of the Knitting Engineering Department of the College of Textile, the Secretary of the Party Branch, the Deputy Dean, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and the Dean of the College of Textile successively.
Professional Affiliations: Vice President of China Nonwoven & Industrial Textiles Association, Vice President of China Knitting Industrial Association, Member of Academic Work Committee of China Textile Engineering Society, and Deputy Director of Industrial Textiles Professional Committee of China Textile Engineering Society.
Academic achievements: He is mainly engaged in the research into the development and application of industrial textile technology, and has laid in-depth research foundation in high-performance fiber special weaving technology and product development. A number of technical products have been successfully applied to the Tiangong and Tianzhou spacecrafts, as well as Beidou and Tiantong high-performance satellites; the products developed in the field of biomedical textiles have reached the international advanced level, several of which have been put into clinical use. He won 2 second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 second prize of National Education Achievement Award, 5 first prizes and 5 second prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards.
