Strategic Cooperation! Donghua University Joins Hands with Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences

On January 15th, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held between Donghua University and Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

President Yu Jianyong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Jiang Lubin, director of the Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Vice President Chen Ge and Chen Fengwei, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

Yu Jianyong welcomed the arrival of the delegation from the Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences on behalf of the university. He hopes that this cooperation will further optimize the university's disciplinary structure, to accurately target the biopharmaceutical industry, one of the three leading industries in Shanghai, and continuously form its own characteristics in disciplinary construction. He also expects that it will help further develop high-level postgraduate education, deepen reform and innovation continually, catalyze more high-quality research results, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and promote win-win situation between the two sides with more practical measures.


Jiang Lubin introduced the basic information of Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He hopes to fully leverage the advantages of both parties and deepen the collaboration and innovation in major projects, promote bilateral technical cooperation, jointly establish the Immunity and Infection Research Center at Donghua University, and build a high-quality resource sharing platform. He also aims to strengthen discipline construction and talent cultivation. Both the university and the institute will work together to accelerate the progress of various matters in the strategic agreement.

At the signing ceremony, both parties reached an agreement on the establishment of the Immunity and Infection Research Center at the College of Biological Science and Medical Engineering, Donghua University. The Center will fully leverage the disciplinary advantages, talent advantages, and graduate resources of the Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to carry out long-term cooperation and further enhance the talent cultivation capabilities of both parties, so as to achieve further development of the discipline.


Representatives from relevant functional departments of both sides and the college attended the meeting and had in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as biomedicine, talent cultivation, and achievement transformation.
