Entrance Scholarships

for students apply for learning full-time Chinese language programs


I. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

Scholarships Coverage: Full coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance (CNY 2500/month, four-week study students are excluded) and comprehensive medical insurance expenses.

Supporting Category: One-Academic-Year Study, One-Semester Study, or Four-week Study

How to Apply: Apply online (http://cis.chinese.cn) before the designated deadline. Log on to search for recommending institutions and host institutions, and then upload application materials online. Track the application progress, comments and result online, and the scholarship holders need to confirm with the host institutions to go through the procedures of studying in China.

II. Chinese Government Scholarships (CGS Category Type-A)

Scholarships Coverage:

        Full Scholarship: full tuition waiver, free university dormitory, comprehensive medical insurance fee waiver, and  stipend (CNY 2,500 per month) offered. Covers corresponding study period

        Partial Scholarship: one or some items of CGS full scholarship

Supporting Category: One-Academic-Year Study or One-Semester Study

Consult & ApplyDispatching authorities for overseas study of your home country (e.g. Chinese Embassy)

How to Apply:

         Step 1 - Send an email to ices@dhu.edu.cn and ask how to receive a Pre-admission Letter for study non-degree Chinese full-time program with a Chinese Government Scholarship. 

         Step 2 - Complete the online application procedure at CGS Information Management System for International Students (CGSIS) - http://www.campuschina.org, select “Program Category Type A”. You should consult the dispatching authorities for overseas study of your home country for Instructions of CGS Information Management System for International Students and Agency Number

         Step 3 - Submit all of your application documents online, including the Pre-admission Letter issued by DHU  before the deadline designated by the dispatching authorities for overseas stduy of your home country.

NOTE: It will be the dispatching authorities for overseas study of your home country decide whether or not to recommend you as an scholarship candidate. The Pre-admission Letter issued by DHU is only used as one of the application document that is required to be submitted at CGSIS.
