In general, before the thesis defence, the total credit hours of graduate students’ courses must be greater than 31, of which greater than 20 credit hours with degree programs and 2 credit hours in social practice

2. Assess Criteria before Thesis Defence

The graduate students are required a total of credit hours before the thesis defence, combining with the working papers published (including the ones already accepted), or with a paper presented at a academic meeting, or a paper presented at the graduate students’ forum organized by the School, (the first author of the corresponding papers should be the graduate student; if the graduate student is the second author, the first author must be the supervisor, and all these need some supporting materials). After the completion of the above requirements, the graduate student can apply for the thesis defence.

They can also work in higher education institutes to do scientific research, teaching, scientific development and management. it is also possible for them to pursue a doctor's degree in majors such as applied mathematics and other subjects related to mathematics, like computer science, economics and other interdisciplines.

2、Assessment criteria before the thesis defense

The graduate students must publish a paper or read out a paper at an academic conference basing on the work you do before thesis defense; or read out a paper in graduate science and technology report or race(the above all need to be first author, when second author , the first author must be the graduate’s teacher); or obtain a patent.
